APPSC (Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission) has come out with recruitment notification 2012 for the posts of Drug Inspectors in AP Drugs Control Administration Service through General Recruitment. Interested candidates can apply online through www.apspsc.gov.in from 22-02-2012 to 22-03-2012 but the fee should be paid on or before 20-03-2012 in the prescribed challan downloadable from the website. Here are details of posts, selection procedure, exam nature, previous model papers, download of hall tickets, results, educational qualifications and application procedure:
Drug Inspector in A.P. Drugs Control Administration Service: 56 posts. Age should be between 18-36 years as on 01-07-2011. Pay scale is Rs. 16,150- 42,590. Distance education degrees are acceptable only if they are duly recognized by DEC, IGNOU. Qualifications: Applicants must have a Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Drugs Control Science or Medicine with Specialization in Clinical Administration Service Pharmacology or Microbiology from any recognized university.
Selection of the candidates will be based on merit in written examination only. Written Examination will consist of objective type multiple choice questions. To qualify in written test, OCs, BCs, SCs and STs should get 40, 35, and 30 percent marks respectively. Written exam will be held at Hyderabad only. Total question paper will be for 450 marks. The written test consists fo following papers and questions:
1) General Studies and Mental Ability: 150 Marks - 150 Questions - 150 Minutes
2) Subject (One Paper): 300 Marks - 150 Questions - 150 Minutes
Interested candidates can apply online during the prescribed dates. Before that candidates should pay the application and exam fee of Rs. 100 and Rs. 80 respectively through AP Online centers or SBI branches. Exemptions apply as per rules.
