APPSC Superintendents of Children Recruitment


Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced recruitment notification 2012 for the posts of Superintendent of Children in Women Development and Child Welfare Sub - Service. This is a General Recruitment for which candidates have to apply online only through www.apspsc.gov.in between 08-02-2012 to 08-03-2012. Candidates should pay the fee through AP Online centers or SBI branches on or before 06-03-2012 . Pay scale for the selected candidates will be Rs. 11530 - 33200. Age should be between 18-36 years as on 01-07-2011. Following are details of posts, eligibility, selection, hall tickets download, question paper pattern and application procedure:

Superintendent of Children Home in Women Development and Child Welfare Sub - Service: 31 vacancies (Zone I - 3, Zone II - 4, Zone III - 6, Zone IV - 6, Zone V - 1, Zone VI - 11). Application cost is Rs. 100 and exam fee is 80. Candidates who have obtained their Degrees through Open Universities / Distance Education mode have to ensure that their degree are recognized by the Distance Education Council,
IGNOU. Qualification: Candidates must have Graduation in any discipline. Candidates with degree or diploma or Certificate in Social Work will be preferred. Candidates should be able to write Telugu and they should be able to explain to the Children fluently in Telugu. Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in Objective type examination which consists of multiple choice questions. Written exam will be held in Hyderabad only. Following are the classification of zones:

1. Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram
2. East Godavari, West Godavari and Krishna
3. Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore
4. Chittoor, Cuddapah, Anantapur and Kurnool
5. Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam
6. Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Nizamabad, Mahaboobnagar, Medak and Nalgonda
City Cadre: City of Hyderabad consists of Hyderabad Division, Secunderabad Division of Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad, Alwal, Balanagar, Secunderabad Contonment area, O.U.Campus, Macha Bolarum, Malkajgiri, Fatehnagar, Bowenpally, Uppal Khalsa, Moosapet, Kukatpally Panchayat Areas and Zamistanpur and Lallaguda villages. Paper 1 : General Studies and Mental Ability: 150 Questions - 150 Minutes - 150 Marks
Paper 2 : T.T.C. : 150 Questions - 150 Minutes - 150 Marks

Syllabus of the written test and model questions / papers may be obtained from APPSC website at www.apspsc.gov.in . There will be questions on Disaster Management in General Studies Paper. Other topics include, General Science, Current Events of National and International Importance, Indian Polity and Economy, History of India and Indian National Movement.
